This is the second time I have bought it, so I must give a five-star praise to express my love. Our service is very enthusiastic. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I like their red dragon roll and orange dragon roll best. When you eat, they are so delicious that they seem to melt.this is my favorite sushi restaurant in fresno.

We have been longtime customers of Sakanaya. I believe they changed ownership not too long ago. The restaurant is quite large and has a nice garden/patio. One of the perks is they offer Teppanyaki for takeout which many restaurants do not. We usually order the Trio special with shrimp, beef, chicken and fried rice. The meal comes with soup. The meat portions are generous with more shrimp than other restaurant trios. You can choose between vegetable, bacon or chicken fried rice. Food usually has pretty good flavor. However, the prices are quite expensive. It was around $25 for the lunch portion and we're told the teppan trio is $40 for dinner. Other reviews mentioned long wait times which we also experienced. It took about 45+ mins for our food to be ready on a weekday afternoon.

10. Stars. If I can give them 10 stars I would. I had my companies into the year Christmas party at Sakanaya today. It was super easy to reserve the party room online. The hostess was super sweet and nice and smiling and helpful. We had two designated servers for the party room. Both of them were wonderful. If I could give them 100 stars I would. The party room was a perfect size. It was clean. It was appealing. It had beautiful Neon signs on the wall and lights hanging. The food was soooooooooo good. Everything we ordered was perfect. Cook perfectly and seasoned perfectly. We had all four Teppanyaki tables going all at once all of our Teppanyaki chefs were pros. They were all professional. All four chefs, gave each table a wonderful show and cooked our food perfectly. Usually when we have a work event, there's always one or two people that don't like the food or want to change something. Every single person at the event said the food was wonderful and they loved the environment and the servers and the chefs. Everyone gave 100% kudos and said they were super happy with the food and the service. I would 100% recommend second night to anyone that asks me my opinion. If you are needing to plan a party, you cannot go wrong having your party here. They take care of everything and you will be pleasantly pleased. We needed a little area to put all of our white elephant gifts, they totally accommodated and we had the cutest little area in the back corner of the private party room.

Sakanaya is definitely our favorite japanese/teppanyaki restaurant in all of Fresno. The only downside is that they don't have a full bar, but I hear that they are working on the liquor license. The servers are very accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious. We definitely plan to return soon with hopes of enjoying a cocktail upon our arrival!

We came without a reservation and had to wait. While we waited we were given soju to taste. The mango was fantastic, went down a little to smooth. They have a lot of items on the menu. I got a Sakanaya trio with bacon fried rice. It was very tasty. We sat in the back privateish room. The people we sat by we not happy the seating was shared. Seating where they cook is very hot but it was a fun experience. Food presentation isn't great but the food was good.
